Halloween Parade, October 31st, Friday, 12:30 PM

A reminder from Mrs. Scholder:

The children are to come to school in street clothes on Friday, October 31st and change into their costumes in school after lunch. Parents are welcome to come at that time and help the children change into their costumes, put on their make-up, etc. A school-wide Halloween parade then begins with Mr. Harris (in costume) leading the parade. We follow one another out to the big playground and walk around so that all the rest of the classes can see the little ones in their costumes. Parents and families are most welcome--cameras (of all types) are allowed. It's definitely a "Kodak moment." Also, if anyone has an extra boy or girl costume, please bring it because one child always shows up without one and a costume goes a long way towards making someone very happy on that day in particular.

    Thank you! Mrs. S.

Update: The children should bring their costumes to school in a plastic bag. Please label the plastic bag with the child's name.

Pumpkins

From Geetanjali:

Mrs. Scholder needs 22 pumpkins for a class math project as soon as possible. The pumpkins should be the medium sized ones, about the size of the childrens' heads.

In past years, someone with a connection to Vons has donated them, but that doesn't seem likely this year.

If you can help, please let Mrs. Scholder or Geetanjali Dhillon know.
    Thanks so much.

    Homework Clarification From Mrs. Scholder

"The first high frequency word is "I." We've been using it to make "I" statements for
put-ups and for when someone does something to us that is not okay. We've
also begun our journal entries with the high frequency word "I." Hope that
      helps! :-) Mrs. S.. "
